Robbers win u13/15 Indoor final

Robbers beat Costco Green Guys to the 24/25 indoor soccer league final, with a commanding 9-6 scoreline. It was a well-tempered game, with few incidents, but yet played a good tempo.

The game was played in front of some parents, and with coaches Roger (Costco Green Guys) and Katie (Robbers) over seeing the teams.

It was a close enough contest but Robbers seemed to have the upper hand just about, and went in at half time 4-3 up. Costco Green Guys missing Edie, one of their standout players this season, which prob didn’t help their task.

However, as the 2nd half wore on, Robbers asserted their dominance, with some fine taken chances, despite some great saves from Jacob in goals.

In a fast-paced game, prob one of the best of the season, subs were crucial, and with Robbers able to swap out their whole line, it certainly seemed to take a toll on the opposition, who always had to give extra time to a player or two, to stay out for a longer period.

In the end, Robbers came through and showed that despite a few poor performances over the season, it only really matters what you do on the night.

Great game everyone!

Robbers:

  • Jacob- May have found his spot between, the posts, very brave and comfortable with the ball
  • Kinley- has turned into a solid defender, making timely tackles and distributing the ball well
  • Landon- What a turnaround in a few months for this guy, a terrier in the tackle, caused teams a lot of trouble over the season with his ability to pick apart passes
  • Lily- A box to box player, full of running a knack for always being in the right spot
  • Adam- for a guy away from the sport for a few years, he has really started to up his game, and get involved there in defense, always willing to stick his foot in
  • Zeanah- great all season in the middle of the floor, great touch and ball distribution
  • Zach- Only new to club, but as usual caused endless trouble running with the ball, we can’t wait to see him on grass in the spring.
  • Max- Our wannabe keeper that will never see the nets again. Great display with the ball at his feet, and scored some very good goals over the past few weeks
  • Cailen- What a rock for her team, strong on the ball, strong in a tackle, a blaster of the ball.

Costco Green Guys:

  • Lewis- Always eager to get between the posts and rarely looked out of place. Good ball distribution and that kick has gotten so much better
  • Hanna- Has surprised us all with how well, she has come on, comfortable in the tackle, willing to throw her self about, and starting to pick teams apart with long balls
  • Anthony- ‘Tony’ for a c guy up from the states who is more familiar with the oval ball than the round one, he has done really well this winter and can’t wait to see him in the spring with a few months under his belt.
  • Breanna- Lil miss dependable for her team, always a solid performance with a powerful kick from either foot. Has gotten some nice goals over the season.
  • Parker- He may like being in defense but has popped up on the other side of the gym more than once to hammer home a few crucial goals.
  • Jeremy- Developed into a real trouble maker over the season, tortementing teams running down the wing.
  • Sophea- Bumped up from u11 for the past few weeks, and is hard to see why not. Constantly terrorized teams, with her trickery and fearless tackles.

** Edie- Lil miss versatile, anywhere on the field she’ll do a job for you. Great performance over the season and badly missed on the night of the final.
